2026 Spring / Summer 5v5

EAFFL’s 2026 Spring/Summer season runs from early May through mid-July, delivering a structured, high-performance 5v5 adult flag football experience.

We follow the official International Federation of American Football (IFAF) Rules, with minor adjustments as "house rules" to ensure alignment with provincial and national standards while maintaining a fast and fun game environment.

All EAFFL games will be held at Emerald Hills Sports Pavillion on Tuesday evenings with 1 exception; June 2nd there is no game and instead will be played on June 6th.

Game Format

5v5 (minimum 4 players to play)
Regulation field: 70 x 25 yards
10-yard end zones
5-yard No Run Zones near each goal line
Two 25-minute halves (50 minutes total running time)
On-field time clock for official timing

Regular Season

10 regular season games
1 game per week
2 double-header nights
Standings based on win percentage

Playoffs

2-3 week playoff format (dependent on league size)
Division shuffle TBD (dependent on league size)
Playoffs begin after Game 10
Minimum 4 regular season games required for playoff eligibility

Championship Awards

Each division champion receives:

A trophy
A cash prize
Beer to celebrate

LEAGUE FEE BREAKDOWN

League fees are $2700 + GST. This includes a built in $200 performance bond.
A $500 non-refundable deposit is required to hold your team's place. This is due by March 13th. Spots are limited, don't wait to secure your team's place.
Balance of $2200 due by April 15th at the latest.
